Thank you for all the cork donations over the past several years! We regret to inform you that we will NO LONGER be accepting corks. We have taken our most recent load of cork to the recycler and will be making our donation to the AUSTISM SOCIETY OF AMERICAN (ASA) in April of 2010 .
Any cork that is received after March 1, 2010 we will recycle and donate to ASA, but would like to phase out the operation by July 1, 2010.

Recycle for Children has been formed to support the environment , the future of our country and children in need through recycling initiatives.

Recycle for Children is a charitable 501 (c) 3 organization committed to engaging consumers, retailers and manufacturing organizations to donate recycle scrap material to our Recycle for Children programs so that proceeds from the recycling of this material is contributed to charities helping children.

The Recycle for Children Programs are listed below:

Korks 4 Kids - this program collects cork material from consumers, retailers, manufacturers, restaurants and other entities that dispose of wine corks or cork material.
Rubber 4 Rugrats - this program collects re-bonded rubber, foam rubber and other rubber material such as; tires that can be recycled for items such as mulch, flooring or playgrounds.

Partnering with our programs enables consumer, organization and manufacturers to be involved and support recycling initiatives inconjunction with providing a charitable contribution in a simplistic manner.

The Recycling Process

The Korks 4 Kids and Rubber 4 Rugrats programs provide scrap material to companies whom recognize that utilizing material that can be recycled will allow for waste to be diverted from our landfills and rei-ntroduced in an different form that is .......... impact the future of our environment and the future of our children.

The material collected is recycled into products for use in the construction industry, flooring and playground facilities. We will also work with organizations that see a use the recycled material to produce an enviromentally safe product.

Our recycling partners recognize value of the Recycle for Children programs and support the programs through additional charitable contributions.

The Korks 4 Kids program and Rubber 4 Rugrats has chosen the Autism Foundation as our initial charity to support through the recycling proceeds. We will be adding additional charities as our program grows.
